A Wind Project in Prince Edward County could power 16-thousand homes each year. Director of Projects for SkyPower Aaron Peters says the project would provide immediate economic spinoffs as well….
He says they’re in the midst of applying for permits and the plan is to have the wind farm northwest of Picton completed by 20-10. Municipal council was quick to point out at a public meeting last week that no applications have yet been approved for any wind farms in the County. On Friday, the Ontario Power Authority signed a 20-year deal with SkyPower to purchase any power it generates from windmills located in Prince Edward County.
