The federal government is looking for office space in the city of Belleville.
But this is not an increase in the amount of space Ottawa requires. Public works spokesperson Meeta Bhimani says the lease for one of the present offices, Agriculture Canada on College street east, runs out in 2010. She says public works is simply researching the market. The call is for a 10-year lease beginning on or about February first, 2010.
