The provincial government will help a marketing campaign promoting tasty treats from Prince Edward County.
Taste the County will use the 100-thousand dollars to create a new partnership with the local wine growers association, develop opportunities for cross-marketing with producers, and increase overnight stays connected to events promoting foods and wines.
Sales of local food and beverage items will also be publicized at trade shows and through the media in the “Spring Forward-Good Things Grow in Prince Edward County” campaign.
The products include cheese, meat, maple syrup, jam, and chocolate, and the project builds on previous work promoting eastern Ontario foods, wine and tourism.
