Not surprisingly, 3 options for reducing Quinte Healthcare Corporation’s multi million dollar deficit are not being received with enthusiasm.
The options involve such things as medical bed, and special care bed closings, along with reduced emergency room hours, at the hospitals in Picton and Trenton. The options are said to lead to savings between 6.6 and 7.1 million dollars a year.
Mayor John Williams says there’s got to be a better way.
Mayor of Prince Edward County Leo Finnegan, is also strongly against the 3 options being put forward. Public meetings will be held soon.
