Local ice anglers can’t complaint about the conditions this year.
Ministry of Natural Resources spokesman Dale Dewey says 182 huts and 82 people on the ice were counted in an aerial survey of the Bay of Quinte between Trenton and Glenora last Sunday.
That is up from 124 huts and 45 people last Friday.
The ice fishing season continues until late February.
