Prince Edward County council is looking at shaking things up a little. That from Bloomfield ward councillor, Barry Turpin, following last night’s council meeting. Turpin says a report from County staff – due on Wednesday – will help council decide how to move forward with more efficiency.
Turpin says a procedural by-law will also be reviewed. The reviews are an attempt by council to look at ways of making meetings shorter and more efficient. Regular meetings of Prince Edward County council have often lasted four hours or longer since a new procedural by-law came into effect last year.
Councillor Peter Mertens confirmed with CJBQ’s Jennifer Lester last week that the procedural by-law needs to be reviewed to make things more efficient.
