Lots of information has been shared at the first meeting between Quinte Healthcare management and a third party reviewer looking at deficit-cutting options.
Q-H-C C-A-O Bruce Laughton says he and other administrative staff met with the reviewer, Ken Tremblay, in Belleville on Monday, and a lot of issues, both historical and current, were discussed..
Quinte Healthcare is facing a possible 15-million-dollar deficit by March of next year.
Laughton says Tremblay will meet Q-H-C management again later this week, in advance of a closed meeting of the board on January 14th to consider some of the options to reduce costs at the four hospitals.
