A rare quiet month on the building scene in Quinte West.
Chief Building Official Ron Wardaugh says only 10 permits for projects worth 280-thousand dollars were issued in December.
However, the previous eleven months were busy, and Quinte West finished 2008 with 79.7-million dollars in new building activity.
The previous record was 69.9-million, set in 2007.
