A Belleville man who broke into several homes and a church in northeastern New Brunswick, and stayed for a few days, will have a prison cell to call home for over a year..
Twenty-two-year-old Matthew Ostrander pled guilty in Maramichi Court to break and enter and other offences.
He was arrested in late September after forcing his way into homes, eating food, using a shower, and stealing money and jewellery.
Ostrander also slept in a church, tried to break into a lumber yard, and was finally caught living in a shed at a water treatment plant.
He was sentenced to 15 months in jail, in addition to the three months custody he had already served.
