Municipal approval has been given to two solar energy plants south of Napanee.
Greater Napanee council voted in favour of Canadian Hydro Developers’ plans for a facility just north of Sandhurst Shores, and another near Bath.
Each project, which could operate for 25 years, is expected to produce ten megawatts of electricity.
Canadian Hydro also wants to build a wind turbine farm on Royal Road in Prince Edward County.
