Three Quinte area men will pay fines after hunting violations last month.
A Ministry of Natural Resources investigation found a deer had not been labelled with a “game seal” as soon as it was killed, but instead had been “sealed” after it had been skinned. One of the three men was also convicted of carrying loaded firearms on an all terrain vehicle.
The infractions occurred north of Belleville. 68 year old Alfred Sherri of Thomasburg was fined 700 dollars, 25 year old Frederick Sherri of Trenton was fined 700 dollars, and 30 year old Mike Stolte of Thomasburg was fined 550 dollars.
