It has been a busy two weeks for staff at the Victims Services of Hastings, Lennox and Addington and Prince Edward.
The Belleville-based office provides housing, food, clothing, baby items and transportation to people who’ve lost some all of their home and possessions to fire.
Executive Director Lisa Warriner says five people and two pets were assisted after a fire in Roslin last Saturday, and four victims were helped following a fire in Point Anne on November 30th.
She says Victims Services is usually contacted by the Belleville and Quinte West fire departments, but anyone who needs assistance after a fire can call the organization’s toll-free number.
