Renovations to improve and significantly enlarge the emergency department at Trenton Memorial Hospital will get underway next month.
Tom Belch and Sons Contractors, of Ameliasburgh, won the 500 thousand dollar contract.
The work will improve the triage and patient registration areas, and will enlarge the emergency waiting area. Currently, there are about 33 thousand visits to the emergency department each year.
The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation is paying for the renovations.
