Still no recommendation on municipal water for some residents in Carrying Place. Quinte West’s Public Works Committee will present 15 households along Loyalist Parkway with more information, and try to reach a decision in February. The residents have had water problems for years, but the cost of municipal water is an issue, at over 30 thousand dollars per home. Chair of Public Works…Jim Harrison has suggested that Council agree to pay 50 percent of the cost of the water to the Carrying Place homes.
