A horrifying crash near Smithfield has resulted in serious injuries to a 25-year old Brighton man. Northumberland OPP say the driver was westbound at a high rate of speed on County Road two, just before midnight, when he entered a curve and went airborne. The vehicle hit a forklift and another vehicle at a service garage, and the driver was ejected as the car burst into flames. County road two was closed between Boes and Stoney Point Roads for six hours for the investigation. Christopher Chambers is being treated at Kingston General Hospital.
