The Quinte area and other parts of Eastern Ontario have a 5.5 per cent unemployment rate.
The figure for last month is up from just 4.1 per cent in November of last year.
Almost 220-thousand people in Hastings, Prince Edward, Lennox and Addington and Renfrew counties were working last month, down by two-thousand from 12 months earlier.
Ontario’s unemployment rate in November was 6.2 per cent.
