Three Colborne residents have been convicted and fined in connection with an investiagtion into illegal netting of rainbow trout out of season. 21-year old Shane Carter, 19-year old Michael Carter and 23-year old Joseph Mitchell were fined $1,000 for obstructing conservation officers. Court heard that the three men accused a fourth person of illegal netting and officers later determined the fourth person was never present at the scene. Shane Carter was also fined $500 for illegally netting rainbow trout.
