Close down Sir Mackenzie Bowell School in west-end Belleville….that’s the recommendation from the Accomodations Review Committee. Some time ago, the province declared Sir Mackenzie Bowell to be to expensive to fix up. And, now, the Review Committee will recommend the Hastings Prince Edward School Board close it down, while renovating and expanding Prince Charles and Sir John A. Macdonald schools. The provincial government will pay up to 2.6 million dollars toward those renovations. The school board is expected to decide on the issue this spring.
