Officers working with the local RIDE programme found themselves chasing after a dodger last night (SAT).
Belleville Police say at three a-m… a southbound van on North Front Street failed to stop for officers at the RIDE check.
The van allegedly accelerated through a red light and bounced over several curbs before stalling in a nearby parking lot.
When officers tried to get the driver out of the van, the suspect vehicle rolled backwards into the police vehicle..causing minimal damage.
A 21-year-old Prince Edward County woman is charged with impaired driving and failing to provide a breath sample.
She is due in court in January.
