The traditional fall homecoming at Queen’s University has been cancelled because of the potential for violence surrounding the annual party.
The Kingston institution will instead host a “homecoming-styled” spring “reunion” next May.
There were almost 140 arrests this year stemming from a non-sanctioned event.
The university and police have been meeting to find a way to quell the autumn chaos.
