Serious crime numbers improving in the City of Quinte West. Quinte West’s
Police Board received a report from the OPP showing a 9 percent decrease in the
number of crimes against persons in the first 9 months of this year, from the
same period last year. Even better was the decrease in property crimes. There
were 23 percent fewer of them, to 12 hundred and 83, from 16 hundred and 76 last
year.
