Provincial Police are still seeking information after a tragic end to the search for a missing hunter in Tyendinaga Township. OPP say 42-year-old Derrick Roy Thompson of St. Catherines went out hunting early Friday… and when he failed to return home… friends and family went looking for him. The man was found with what appeared to be a gunshot wound… in the woods near Blessington and Shannonville roads….north of Shannonville. Police would like to hear from anyone in the area on Friday. The OPP Crime Unit is investigating. A post-mortem has been scheduled for today.
