The Port Hope Police Board has turned down a request to dispatch for the Brighton Fire Department.
The board rejected the proposal because Brighton’s offer of 15-thousand dollars wouldn’t cover the cost of having a dispatcher available 24-7.
T-A-S Answering Service will not continue fire dispatching after its contract with Brighton expires next March.
