A handgun was seized by Police in Belleville overnight. Officers on patrol at Moira and Sidney Streets observed a suspicious man, just after 1 o’clock this morning, and it was determined he was breaching his recognizance out of Peterborough. During a search, an officer located a handgun concealed in the suspect’s clothing. A 20-year old Belleville man faces numerous weapons charges. He has been held for a bail hearing later today.
