Belleville councillor Bob Dolan says he won’t give up his campaign to compare the cost of municipal long term care facilities with those in the private sector.
Yesterday (Wed) Bellelville lost a bid to have the Hastings-Quinte Long Term Care committee launch a second review of its homes, comparing them with privately-run facilities. Dolan says he’s concerned about the one-point-one million dollar deficit this year. Belleville councillor Pat Culhane told the committee the city wasn’t criticizing the Hastings and Centennial Manors, but said there’s no harm in “comparing to find cost-savings.”
