Quinte Wests’ Public Works Committee will ask Council to approve a 14 million dollar capital expenditure budget for next year. The two items making up the majority of that total are a new overhead bridge on old highway 2, between Trenton and Brighton, and the hardtopping of several roads.
Meanwhile, Quinte Wests’ Protective Services Committee is asking for 485 thousand dollars in capital for next year. The big item there is a new 230 thousand dollar pumper for the Murray South fire station.
