Domestic Mischief and Threats
On December 1, 2022 at 5:33 p.m., Belleville police attended an address in the south end of Belleville for a domestic dispute. It was determined through investigation that property belonging to the female victim had been destroyed and the male suspect threatened to cause bodily harm to her. As a result of the investigation, a 61-year-old Belleville male was arrested and charged with domestic mischief and uttering a death threat. The male was later released with a court date of December 19 2022. As this is an intimate partner violence-related incident, the accused’s name is not being released to protect the victim’s identity.
Intimate Partner Assault
On December 1, 2022 at 7:09 p.m., Belleville police attended an address in the north end of Belleville for a domestic dispute. The investigation led to a 26-year-old Belleville male being arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. He was later released with a court date of December 19, 2022. As this is an intimate partner violence-related incident, the accused’s name is not being released to protect the victim’s identity.
