Quinte West Fire Prevention is investigating following a fire in Germans Landing on Sunday.
Around 11:45 a.m., Station 6 near Stockdale responded to 636 9th Murray Road, for the report of a barn fire.
A tractor within the barn began burning with the owner pulling it out with a back hoe.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whalen says quick work by his crews limited destruction to the building.
Damage is estimated around $80,000, with the cause believed to be electrical.
There has been no report of livestock fatalities.
