Highway 401 westbound at Colborne was closed to traffic for almost two hours early today (Tuesday) after a tractor trailer fire.
According to Today’s Northumberland, Cramahe Township firefighters responded to the fire near The Big Apple shortly after one o’clock this morning to find the cab of the big rig up in flames.
The trailer, carrying food products, was unhooked and away from the fire.
The fire was put out quickly and the highway reopened before 3 o’clock.
No one was injured.
