Belleville Police have provided an update to an investigation into the discovery of a body Wednesday night.
Around 11:00 pm, a caller phoned city police, claiming to discover a body in the woods in a tent.
It was between the 401 and Highway 37 exit, and Black Diamond Road.
A witness notified Quinte News that officers had gathered at the car pool on the south side of the 401, and by 6:30 am Thursday, another cruiser was at the off ramp.
A search located a victim without vital signs.
Belleville Police say they have completed their investigation, foul play is not suspected, and there is no threat to public safety.
