A body has been found in Belleville.
Around 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, Belleville Police were called about a body discovered in a tent, between the 401, the Highway 37 off-ramps, and Black Diamond Road.
Campbellford native Melissa Dempsey works at Black Diamond Cheese and says she has seen a blue tent in the woods on and off for about the last year.
Listening to her Scanner App, Dempsey says police began setting up at the car pool parking area around 11:30 p.m. and the caller to police was going to show officers the way through the woods to the body.
City police have confirmed that a body was found, however the investigation is just getting underway.
The name of the person, cause of death, or whether foul play is suspected is not known at this time.
