The cab of a tractor trailer was destroyed by fire in Quinte West Friday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the eastbound OnRoute on the 401 just before 5 a.m.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whelan says the fire started in the cab of the truck.
The driver immediately pulled off at the OnRoute.
The flames were quickly extinguished.
The trailer and its contents, which were not hazardous, were not harmed and the driver was not hurt.
Damage is estimated around $300,000.
