PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Having been raised and educated in Stirling-Rawdon and Belleville and having been a resident of Stirling-Rawdon for over 45 years, I am deeply committed to this community. With the support of my beautiful wife of 16 years, Donna and son, Kevin, I can devote myself to the betterment of Stirling-Rawdon. As President/CEO of a self-founded and very successful company for 29 years, I have gained valuable skills which can be applied to Mayoral duties. My vast amount of experience in dealing with both the public and private sector comes from being heavily involved in both business and community organizations. Memberships include the Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses for 24 years, the Chamber of Commerce for 14 years, the Stirling Royal Canadian Legion and I support the Stirling Rotary Club. I thoroughly enjoy golfing, gardening and reading in my spare time.

My passion for the community in which I live and my years of business experience and community involvement will certainly be an asset in leading our Municipality. Our infrastructure is of the utmost importance and with the proper strategic planning, we can tackle that issue head on. We live in a unique community that has a tremendous amount to offer and with the right leadership, Stirling-Rawdon can be that quaint bedroom community in which people will want to come to from far and near to visit, shop and live. Raising the profile of the community will offer exactly that. This can be accomplished by working together, through forward thinking and strong leadership. I want to make a difference that will benefit our residents with an approachable personality, open door policy and willingness to speak with everyone and listen to what they say, we can accomplish that task.
