On Friday, Neil Ellis, Member of Parliament for Bay of Quinte, on behalf of the Honourable Kirsty Duncan Minister of Science and Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities, announced that Royal Canadian Legion Trenton
Branch 110 in Trenton has received financial support through the Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) to update the
facility’s sound equipment and improve accessibility for Canadians with disabilities.
Canadians with disabilities face challenges every day that prevent them from participating fully in all aspects of our
society.
Through programs such as the EAF, the Government of Canada is committed to reducing these barriers and ensuring that everyone has equal access and equal opportunity.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 110 will be receiving up to $20,331 to help update their
sound system, allowing seniors who are hard of hearing to engage in their community.
Eligible organizations can submit funding applications through an annual EAF call for proposals.
