Belleville police have charged a man already before the courts on several drug charges for breaching the conditions of his release.
At one o’clock this morning (Thursday) in the city’s west end, officers arrested 33 year old Michael Istead after he left his residence.
Police seized some marijuana during the arrest.
Istead was charged along with several others after a series of drug raids in and around Trenton on April 25.
In another incident, a man already before the courts on drug charges will face more charges.
Yesterday (Wednesday), the Belleville police street crime/intelligence unit, along with the Provincial Biker Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle in the city’s east end.
After the stop, police charged Frankford man Blair Crawford with 4 counts of breach of recognizance.
Police say the 36 year old Crawford is associated with the Hell’s Angels. He is also facing charges after drug raids in Belleville back in February.
