Napanee OPP, fire and ambulance were all on the scene of a highway tractor trailer accident early Saturday morning.
The truck was reported to have rolled into a ditch on the westbound 401 near Centre Street in Napanee just before 3 a.m., leaking a large amount of fuel in the process. A blown tire off its rim is believed to have caused the accident.
A male driver managed to escape the truck, but suffered a broken collarbone. Fortunately, he was reported as being alert and talking.
Napanee OPP closed both lanes of the 401 westbound at Napanee and the Ministry of Environment, along with a heavy tow truck, was called in.
We will update you on this story once the 401 is reopened or if any further details become available.
