Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting 22 new cases of COVID-19 for an active total of 107 as cases begin to mount up.
Four new recoveries have also been reported since Friday.
There are three new cases in Centre Hastings, five in Belleville, nine in Quinte West, three in Prince Edward County, and two in the Tyendinaga and Deseronto area.
Three new cases are classified as variants of concern for a total of 44 discovered since the pandemic began. There is also one new case in hospital for a total of three, with two cases still currently in the Intensive Care Unit.
The HPE COVID-19 dashboard shows a new outbreak as well at a workplace in Quinte West. There are also active outbreaks at another workplace in Quinte West, one in Belleville, and a school or childcare facility in Belleville.
Another heavy day of cases in Hastings and Prince Edward comes as the province reports over 3,000 new cases.
In Northumberland County, the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting 14 new cases for an active total of 33.
