For the very first time, a gymnast from Quinte Bay has made Team Ontario for Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.
Grade 9 Bayside student Teagan Caulfield was the overall winner of the level 6 provincial competition on Friday at Quinte Bay Gymnastics Club.
The lone competitor in the division defeated nearly 60 other athletes from across the province to take the title. She also had a first, third and fourth place finish in individual events Friday.
Caulfield says to be the first Quinte Bay athlete to win WAG Tour Selections is incredible.
Her coach Jennie Reilly says this is a first for the club.
Caulfield will also represent Ontario at the Lady Luck International WAG event in Las Vegas in January.
