The Centennial Chargers defeated the Centre Hastings Centurions 5-4 to win the Central Ontario boys high school hockey championship for the first time. Carson Waite scored the winner with six minutes left in the third. It was his second of the game.
The Quinte Christian Eagles won the COSSA Senior Girls Volleyball title after defeating Brock High School in two sets. Quinte Christian moves on to the Ontario Championship tournament next week in Kitchener.
And the Moira boys curling team has advanced to the Ontario High School championships in North Bay next week. The Moira rink is skipped by Brady Lumley, with Quin Botly, Callum Guppy, Isaac Fullerton and coach Bill Jackson.
