OPP in Quinte West are investigating a pair of break-ins to a boat, docked along the Trent River, on Albert Street.
The first incident happened in the late morning of September 6, when suspects stole a smaller nine-foot inflatable boat, some other items and alcohol, from the main vessel.
A few days later, in the early morning, two suspects wearing balaclavas returned to the same boat and were confronted by the owner.
Police say one of the suspects, who appeared to be in their late teens to early twenties, fired off a flare gun.
Nobody was hurt, but police are looking for the suspects involved and say anyone who might have information can contact them, or Crimestoppers.
