When it rains, it pours, and that is what it did yesterday in the Quinte region.
According to measurements taken at CFB Trenton, we received 46.2 mm of rain yesterday, or 1.8 inches of rain.
That’s a lot, but not enough to set a new rainfall record for an August 16th.
The record rain occurred August 16th 39 years ago in 1977.
On that day, our area received 72 mm, or 2.8 inches, of rain.
