Belleville Council is set to discuss using the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre as a COVID-19 vaccination hub.
At its meeting on Monday, council will see a report from CAO Rod Bovay noting that staff at the wellness centre are confident that one of the facility’s four rinks would be suitable to use as a vaccination centre and would satisfy the requirements of HPE Public Health.
The health unit has requested to use the space from March until September, with wellness centre staff saying they may need to reorganize some programming if the vaccination hub is still being used and current restrictions change.
