Belleville’s Polar Plunge on Friday saw many teams leap into frigid Bay of Quinte water in support of Special Olympics Ontario.

Nearly $30,000 was raised.
Teams taking part in the plunge included Belleville Police, Belleville Fire and Rescue, Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services, CFB Trenton, and Probation and Parole.
Sixty plungers took part, more than double last year’s 25.
